- God’s Character Revealed Through His Names:
- I AM THAT I AM – Jehovah – Yahweh – God the Lord
- Adonai – Lord; Master
- Psalms 110:1 – The Lord (Yahweh) said unto my Lord (Adonai), Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
- His Name is holy – it was considered too holy to say
- Elohim – God the Creator; God the Trinity
- El Shaddai (Shadday) – Almighty God – the God who is more than enough
- These are the Seven Covenant or Redemptive Names of God – These Names Reveal His Character:
- Jehovah-Jireh – Jehovah Will Provide – the Lord Who sees and provides
- Genesis 22:14 KJV – “And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.”
- Philippians 4:19 KJV – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
